Chester Talking Newspaper, which is a registered
charity, with recording studios located in Folliott
House, 53 Northgate Street, Chester, now has a presence on the World Wide Web. We
have been established since 1977, recording and distributing hundreds of audio
cassette tapes every week, to the visually impaired in
Due to a Big Lottery grant, we
have been able to equip our studio to enable us to record and copy digitally. Staff are currently being trained in this, and soon we hope
to be 100% operational.
Future direction is aimed at
delivering a fully digital product to our Service Users, using 'thumbdrives' or 'memory sticks' (Newsbridge™
system) in preparation for when cassette tapes are no longer available. We are
